“I knew from when I was very young that singing was for me. As a child I spent hours making up and learning a vast number of songs. I sang in three choirs as a teenager and eventuallly enrolled in ‘Musik Akademiet’ in Copenhagen, studying singing and piano. Eventually I moved to England and became involved with the Music Organisation called ‘Tonalis’. I am now a graduate of two Tonalis' Vocational Music Trainings; The ‘Tonalis Voice Training’ and ‘Music Education for Children Training’.
I have been a singing student of the Tonalis director; Michael Deason Barrow, for many many years, as well as being a long standing member of his choir ‘Tonalis Company of Singers’. For several years I have performed with this unique choir, with its amazing and broad repertoire, both as part of the whole choir, in small consorts and as a solo singer.
I have taken various ‘Trinity College London’ Singing and Music performance Diplomas.
I am a qualified:
Associate of ‘Trinity College London’ with a
Diploma in Singing and Performance - ATCL.
I have also taken the high LTCL Diploma exam in singing and music performance, with distinction in performance. In LTCL singing diplomas
the level is twice as high as grade 8.
I have also had singing lessons with the famous tenor Ian Partridge, as well as singing lessons with the wonderful singer,
composer and Trinity diploma examiner, Gary Higginson.

As a Funeral Singer, I have always sung with sincerity and compassion.
My ethos is that every performance is of equal importance and that preparation is the key to ensuring that in my role as a Funeral singer, I will always give of my very best. I endeavour to be helpful, flexible and understanding and to make sure that the arrangements for the Funeral or Memorial Service are handled with the utmost respect and sensitivity. Each Funeral is very personal to me and I understand how important the choice of music is for a family.

As one of the founding members of the all female consort ‘Si Canta’, I have also performed with this group during 2007/2008. This included singing for weddings as a group. For many years I have also sung in numerous folk clubs both in England and in Ireland with my folk repertoire. Both as a soloist as well as a member of the new 'Si Canta duo' with Catharina Rickett.”.
